Urds Brønd (2023)

Urds Brønd draws its inspiration from Nordic Mythology and Scandinavian folklore, blending the ethereal and the earthly, the divine and the natural, and the realm of art with that of ritual.

At present, spirits, ghosts, and other numinous entities residing in nature have fallen dormant. These narratives and immortal stories are pathways and portals that are never truly lost; they are merely in slumber, buried deep within our unconsciousness, hidden in our bogs, rivers, and lakes, simply awaiting rediscovery in our land, body, and collective consciousness.

By unearthing the land’s soil, sifting through rivers and bogs, and connecting with nature, Urds Brønd is in an ‘encounter’ that emphasizes the land as an archive for forgotten stories, discovered, re-imagined, and woken again.

Reviving these ancient stories of nature’s spirit can serve as a valuable tool, a totem, and a guide, helping us better comprehend the world we are a part of, bridging the past to the present and carrying the present forward into the future.
